HSC - Higher School Certificate
The Higher School Certificate (HSC) is the highest educational award in New South Wales schools. It is awarded to NSW students who have satisfactorily completed Years 11 and 12 at secondary school. The HSC is an internationally recognised credential that provides a strong foundation for students wishing to pursue tertiary qualifications.
In NSW, it is an outstanding academic achievement for schools to appear in the top 20 of the High School Certificate Results. Due to the Selective School programme in the public school system, many gifted students do not attend private schools. To compete and succeed amongst these schools, a huge effort on the part of the students and teachers is undertaken. Over the past decade, Reddam has performed exceptionally, being placed in the top 20 and often in the top 10 in the State.
